If you would like to get involved with our work there are several projects that need regular volunteers and we also have one-off events that need supporting. If you have an interest in youth or children's work we have several weekly, monthly or yearly projects that would benefit from 'new blood'; do look at our project details and if you feel drawn to this work please contact us for more information or to have an initial chat. All workers with children, young people and vulnerable adults will be asked to complete a CRB check as protection for the volunteers and the people we work with. The Summer Holiday Clubs that run for 1 week in July/August need a large number of volunteers, as we have a increasing number of young people attending, so if you can spare a few days in the summer do contact us. We need at least 25 weekly volunteers to staff our catering projects - Soup & Roll, Tuesday Coffee, Monday Friends and Kemplah Lunches - and another 4 volunteers are involved with our FoodStop each week. If you would like to help on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis we would welcome your support and it can be a great opportunity to gain work experience.

In the existing catering projects there is a growing call on our time for 'befriending' and this is an area we are hoping to extend and explore in the near future. We will need a group of people willing to sit, listen and offer friendship at these venues and also to visit homes to have a chat over a cup of tea. The visits will often be the only regular social contact many of these folk have and so it can provide a significant benefit to their well-being.

In December we have our Christmas Day Meal and many of the volunteers can testify to what a wonderful occasion this is; support in the run up to the day and at the actual event helps it all to run smoothly. We also have extra coffee mornings and fundraising events through the year that volunteers can support as a one-off if they would find a more regular commitment difficult. We are incredibly grateful that people are willing to give their time in support of all our community projects - thank you for showing an interest and hopefully you will be drawn to 'get involved'.
